Question: Who are the services for?
Answer: Our services are perfect for anyone who wants to preserve and share their life story or the story of a loved one. We work with individuals, couples, and families.
Question: What will I get as an end product?
Answer: You will receive a high quality 40 - 45 minute documentary style video that tells your Story. You will also get a premium print magazine of your Story.
Question: What is the process like?
Answer: While our general process is outlined on the Our Process page, we understand that every story is unique. We're happy to adjust the experience to make you feel comfortable and ensure your Story is captured in a way that truly reflects you.
Question: How long does the process take?
Answer: Depending on our schedule, we can typically meet and record your video within a week. It does take us about 4 weeks to scan/enhance any photos, edit/create your video, and create/print your premium magazine. We want to make sure we have plenty of time for any edits you would like to ensure your Story perfect.
Question: Do I have to be on camera?
Answer: Your comfort is our priority throughout the entire process. If you’d rather share your story without being on camera, we’re happy to accommodate your needs. There are plenty of meaningful ways to bring your story to life with just audio interviews.
Question: What kind of Stories do you help tell?
Answer: Every story is unique. Common themes include: family history & heritage, career journeys, love stories, military service, overcoming challenges, life lessons, and legacy messages for future generations. But, really the sky is the limit in the type of Story we can help you tell.
Question: How much does it cost?
Answer: Our service package is priced at $995. This includes:
all planning meetings and Story workshops
taking information from the planning meeting to prepare for your recording session
video recording of your Story
scanning and enhancing your selected photos
editing and creating your memory video
writing the articles for your premium magazine
creating the premium magazine
up to two rounds of edits for both the video and magazine
transferring the video from our editing software to a flash drive and web link for your final delivery
professional printing and production of one magazine copy
We do offer a discount if you allow us to use any of your end products for promotional purposes. We never share your full name or any personal information.
Question: What type of payment do you accept?
Answer: When you decide to proceed, there is a $225 non-refundable deposit due. The remaining balance can be paid in full or via 2 or 4 monthly installments after the final delivery of your video and magazine. We accept personal checks, Venmo, or Paypal.
Question: Can I order additional copies of the printed magazine?
Answer: Absolutely! Just let us know if you’d like additional copies, and we’ll provide the cost per issue. You can order extra copies anytime within 4 months of receiving your original magazine. We can not make any changes to the additional copies. They will be exactly like the original copy.
Question: How many photos can I include?
Answer: We typically recommend including 50 - 60 photos per story, as they add depth, reflection, and visual richness to both the video and magazine. That said, we’ll ensure your final product is meaningful and high-quality, no matter how many photos you choose to include.
Question: What does the premium magazine look like?
Answer: Your magazine will be custom-designed with: high-quality paper and binding, a personalized cover and title, full-color photos, and we will take your spoken Story and turn it into professionally written stories. It’s a timeless keepsake you'll be proud to share.
Question: Where will you record the video?
Answer: We’re happy to record your video in a location where you feel most comfortable. Ideally, the space should be quiet and free from interruptions. Most of our clients choose to film in their homes for this reason. If you prefer a public location, we’ll need to see if there are any permits required. Please note that depending on the requirements we may not be able to film in these areas.
Question: Can you record the video remotely?
Answer: To ensure the best possible video quality, we prefer to record in person.
Question: How far will you travel to record the video?
Answer: We are based in the Jackson, MS metro area and regularly serve clients in Hinds, Madison, and Rankin counties. If you're located outside this area, don’t worry - we’re still committed to helping you tell your story. Let’s discuss your location to see if we can accommodate it. Please note that additional travel fees may apply for areas beyond our standard service region.
